Returns Policy

The good news is that returns of our furniture are rare.  Our furniture is inspected prior to delivery to ensure it is in good condition -- and it is delivered blanket-wrapped, so the customer can inspect the furniture right away and accept it in good condition.

At Oak For Less ®, we understand that buying furniture is an important decision and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, we have a 48-hour return policy for ordered furniture items.

This means that if you need to return a piece of furniture, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. After this time period has passed, the sale is final, and no returns or refunds will be possible.  There are no returns nor refunds on Custom items nor Clearance items at any time.

We encourage you to carefully inspect your furniture upon delivery to ensure that it meets your expectations and specifications. Returns due to delivery damage that is SEVERE or MINOR (see relevant section below):

Returning furniture due to SEVERE damage, the customer must do the following:
  • WRITE about the damage on the delivery paperwork that the customer signs at the time they receive the furniture
  • PHOTOGRAPH the damage
  • REFUSE the delivery so that the delivery team takes the furniture back with them
  • NOTIFY Oak For Less ® by emailing us at [email protected] and send us the pictures of the damage within 24 hours of delivery
  • NOTE: SEVERE shipping damage to furniture is enough to render the piece non-repairable. This may include extensive breakage or cracking of the frame or structural components, severe damage to the finish or upholstery, or a combination of both.
  • In such cases, Oak For Less ® will evaluate the situation together with the customer to determine if a replacement of the damaged furniture is necessary or if a refund will be issued.  This is decided on a case-by-case basis.
Returning furniture due to MINOR damage, the customer must do the following:
  • WRITE about the damage on the delivery paperwork that the customer signs at the time they receive the furniture
  • PHOTOGRAPH the damage
  • REFUSE the delivery so that the delivery team takes the furniture back with them
  • NOTIFY Oak For Less ® by emailing us at [email protected] and send us the pictures of the damage within 24 hours of delivery
  • NOTE: Minor shipping damage to furniture is damage that can be repaired by a furniture technician, and there are several types of such damages. These include scratches, dents, chips, and minor cracks in the furniture's frame or finish. Scratches on the surface of the furniture can be polished or filled, while dents and chips can be filled and blended to match the original finish. In addition, minor cracks in the frame can be glued and clamped to restore their strength and stability. Other repairable damages may include loose or broken joints, missing or damaged hardware, and minor upholstery tears or stains.
  • In such cases where a customer refuses a delivery and returns an item with minor damage that is repairable, once we receive the furniture back from the shipper, a refund will be issued less a 25% Restocking Fee and less the shipping/delivery fee.  The shipping/delivery fee is non-refundable.

  • NOTE: If the customer decides to not Return furniture with MINOR shipping damage and would like to keep it and have it repaired, Oak For Less ® will contact a furniture technician in the customer's area and cover the cost of repairing the minor damage, so the customer can have peace of mind they will be taken care of.

For Returns due to customer changing their mind DURING the delivery:


During the time of the delivery, if the furniture is delivered in good condition but the customer decides they don’t want it while the delivery people are still there, the customer must do the following:

  • WRITE that they have changed their mind on the delivery paperwork that the customer signs at the time they receive the furniture
  • REFUSE the delivery so that the delivery team takes the furniture back with them
  • NOTIFY Oak For Less ® within 48 hours of refusal of the delivery by emailing us at [email protected] and let us know you have changed your mind and that you refused the delivery
  • NOTE: In such cases, once we receive the furniture back from the shipper, a refund will be issued less a 25% Restocking Fee and less the shipping/delivery fee.  The shipping/delivery fee is non-refundable.

For Returns due to customer changing their mind within 48 hours AFTER the delivery:


If the furniture was delivered and paperwork signed that it was received in good condition and the customer decides they don’t want it after the delivery people leave, the customer must do the following:

  • NOTIFY Oak For Less ® within 48 hours of the delivery by emailing us at [email protected] and let us know you have changed your mind and that you no longer want the furniture
  • NOTE: In such cases, the customer must arrange and pay for shipping the furniture back to Oak For Less ® within 14 days of the original delivery date.  Shipping must be insured and blanket-wrapped to protect the furniture for its return in good condition.  Once we receive the furniture back, a refund will be issued less a 25% Restocking Fee and less the original shipping/delivery fee.  The shipping/delivery cost for its return to Oak For Less ® is non-refundable.
  • Because the furniture was signed for received in good condition, if the item is returned with damage, there will be an extra Repair Fee assessed to repair the damage so that the returned item will be sale-able. Repair Fees begin at $50, depending on the level of damage.

PLEASE NOTE: Once the 48-hour window has elapsed following the delivery/receiving of the furniture, the sale will be considered final and no further returns or refunds will be accepted.
